Update on Aez Matin

Went for blood test on last Thursday- 26/7/07- and guess what? He didn't cry when the doc prick his finger.
Dia tengokkan aje- maybe he's thinking what is this person doing with my finger eh? Holding it so tight and squeezing the blood out of me...

Hahaha. and the doc say Aez is brave- maybe he will become a doc when he grows up.
Itulah harapan mama... Doctor Matin- how does that sound...

The blood test came out to be o.k- no dengue- he's down with viral infection.
Doc also found his Hb low (10.5 compared to min 11 in young children). This condition is called Thalessemia.
So we have to schedule for another blood test on 6 Sept 07, six weeks later.

Doctor wants him to fully recover before they do another full blood count.

Semoga Aez cepat sembuh... and the coming blood test result to be good.

Nothing Else Matters......

Except for my bay-b love- Mohammad Raez Matin

He's been down with fever since Monday evening, and today, rashes starts to appear.
More on his limbs (hands & legs) compared to the rest of his body.

This happened once before- that was when his temp shot to 39.8 degrees.
After the temp subside, it's usually normal for rashes to appear. The explanation is because all the heat is released. (or something to that sense).

However, today, when we visited the bapak sedara (doctor) at Vista Point, instead of giving him antibiotic, he was given a chit to go for blood test or rather blood count. He's still running a temp of 38.2 degrees.

This is because of the dengue fever yg now tengah peak. Doctor just wants to make sure that the rashes is not due to that.
According to him and also to my understanding, rashes in dengue patient always appear after 4-7 days of fever, tapi not sure in babies (might be faster)

Ya Allah... jauhkanlah Aez dari penyakit.
Sembuhkanlah anak ku ini.Pindahkanlah sakit dan segala kuman kuman dari Aez pada Mama.
Mama rela penyakit Aez diberi pada mama.

Nothing interesting happened these few weeks, that's the reason why takde update.

Anyway, I nak ceritakan what happen last weekend.....

Sat

Tak kerja... malas... sekarang ni dah dapat green light from my boss tak payah datang kerja on Saturday... alasan takde org jaga my baby... Just finish 3 days exhibition at Suntec Convention Hall. It was tiring like hell. I am in the corporate gift industry and the show is all abt gifts... so whoever reading, if you're looking for corporate gift or premium, feel free to drop me a msg... hahah sempat advertise seh...

Anyway, I went down to shop & safe at ard 2.30p.m (at Vista Point).
Brought my hubby atm card to withdraw cash- tapi mesin tu gila sikit... takde small notes.. must withdraw in nomination of S$50.
I wanted to buy Aez punya susu & pampers.
So takpelah I withdraw S$100. As we're going to jemputan & cukur rambut later in the afternoon, I have to find a way to get small notes.
I took Huggies dry comfort (it's now S$19+) & 1 tin of Friso 2 (harga pun dah naik-S$28 per tin) it used to be only S$23....
I made my way to the cashier to pay. Total is S$47 plus.
I took out S$50 note and told her that I'm paying for both the item and present to her my other S$50 to request for change of S$10 x 5.
Dengan selamba dia scan my items and say 'Sorry we don't have enuf change'.
Hello!! Who do you think I am to believe that. Shop & safe is a reputable big organisation, bukan kedai mamak tau.
I'm sure they have enough small notes on standby, cuma this cashier aje yg ngada ngada. maybe she malas nak tukar dengan chief cashier or the manager in duty.

I pun apelagi. Tak mendidih darah... My blood shot up to 100degrees on the spot. kalau ikutkan hati, boleh jadi incredible hulk...
Smiling I told her... "So you cannot change for me is it?"
"No" was the answer.
"O.k, if that's the case, can you put these 2 items in separate receipt? I'll pay for them separately"
Engkau tercengang the trainee cashier (I caught a glimpse of her nametag).
She stare at me for the longest moment. I return the stare and ask 'So can you do it?"
Agaknya dia ingatkan I ni maid ke ape? Mentang mentanglah tak pakai makeup, baju t-shirt ngan sluar short aje, kau ingat aku bodoh? Hey.. hello!!! tengok kakilah beb...

She had no choice but to call the manager to void the transaction and rekey my purchase in 2 separate receipt.

I paid S$50 -got a change of S$22 for the milk and another S$50 for the pampers- with a change of S$30 odd dollars for the pampers.

The end of the day... sape yg rugi? Remember... customer is always right...
Selalu aje I got this from my client.. skali skali pun kena take revenge.

SUN

Hubby work. No choicelah kalau tak agaknya kita kena ikat perut (which is also not a bad idea pasal I'm still trying to get rid of my post pregnancy fats).

Anyway I juggle cooking while looking after my baby. Kesian dia... while i carry him in 1 hand and pegang senduk in the other, dia tertidur..after putting him to bed, I continued my war in the kitchen.
It was really like a world war 3. Habis satu dapur berserak. My baby ni suka tolong 'kemas'.
Niway, hubby reach home at ard 3p.m.
Aez pun dah bangun.
I open the fridge & saw red apple. Apelagi, I cut it to small pcs and offer hubby.
Dia punya baik hati, gave 1 pc to Aez.
My Aez pun sukalah. He took the apple and ran in his walker. I dah terpekik "Yang u better tengok Aez tu nanti dia gigit apple boleh tercekik".
"Taklah. He cannot bite" came the reply.
"U jgn cakap, dia kan dah ade gigi (2 at the bottom)
Tak sampai 1 min, "ggrrpp" bunyi apple Aez gigit.
I pun apelagi...melenting kanchiong...
I took Aez out from the walker and turn him upside down, put my finger in his mouth to force out the apple.
Nasib baik my baby ni tak gelojoh.
He still tengah rase rase the apple and has not decided to telan it yet.

I managed to take out a big pc of it. Dia pun apelagi nangislah. He tot I tak kasi makan.
I scrape the apple so small pcs and feed him. He's a happy baby once again.

A lesson to learn.

NEVER UNDER-ESTIMATE YOUR BABY'S CAPABILITY.

PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE....
